High Reliability Design

These are a few examples of the reports available to your company. There are many variations on these and other reports too numerous to display each of them here. 

When you decide to implement a point of sale system in your retail store you need an extremely reliable Recording Device. Reliability was our number one design consideration. If you cannot ring sales you are out of business. A stand alone computer is a very reliable device. Once a computer is networked it it less reliable. Therefore Active POS can run on a stand alone computer. POS will work whether connected to the main computer or not. Whether your network is up or not. If the store is local or remote. If your Internet connection is active or not. 
 

At the same time you can save hardware costs by being able to share devices on the network for sign and tag production or an Internet connection or modem for credit card verification. You get the advantage of both worlds. Store your applications locally and transmit them to your server when you know things are working right.

Capturing information at point of sale gives your company information about what is selling quickly. It gives you the time to move inventory or cancel purchase orders before you are overstocked. If an item is hot maybe you can still get more of it when the season is still on. Flexibility and power is what you gain from the information ActiveApplications provides. UDS follows several guidelines when designing reports. The amount of information that must be displayed determines the size of the report. If the necessary information can be displayed in portrait on your paper size it will. A smaller font size will be used until the type would be unreadable if made smaller. If the necessary information is too wide to fit portrait the computer will switch to landscape mode. If the required information is still too wide legal paper (8 by 14 inches) will automatically be selected in the printer. Your printer and print driver will determine how the commands are handled by your system. UDS makes it easy for you to get the information you must have.

The report samples displayed in these examples are captured directly from the report program that generates the report. Built into every UDS report is the ability to view it on the screen or place the report directly into Word or Excel format if those applications are available on your computer. Export it into one of several other file formats is available, too. 

Easy integration into Microsoft Office is a priority with UDS programming staff. You will be more productive when using Active Applications because of the Office integration features.
